My friend Dorothea has joined me on an Art Challenge journey where we have committed to making a unique piece of art every day for the rest of the calendar year (started in March)!. The work ranges from the beautiful to the fast drawing sketch sneaking in at 11:59. While every work may not showcase our best talent, we are presenting all to help illustrate the true challenge.

Dorothea McCowan is evolving her work from floral drawings to naturescapes layered in watercolor. She is a California born artist creating works from local landscapes. Dorothea is finding this challenge allows her to take at least 5 minutes a day to create what she loves and she hopes to inspire others to also make space to practice what brings them joy.
Heather Birnbaum Harris is working to expand her abilities utilizing the mediums found on her art table. She finds this challenge a way to explore how she is able to express with form, image, and color. Heather enjoys incorporating the depth of color from her east coast upbringing with the lightness of her life in California.
